Marion Condis, 60, was arrested in Florida and charged with one count of grand theft and 3 counts of petit theft on Sunday after he was caught on CCTV, stealing from the offering baskets as the congregation closed their eyes and bowed their heads in prayer.
This happened at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala. They suspected that one of their volunteer ushers was stealing from the church’s offering baskets. So detectives placed surveillance cameras at the church.
Police said Condis was seen stealing during each mass. They recovered a total of $349.05 from his pockets. He was later released from the Marion County Jail after posting a $3,500 bond on Sunday evening….. ds is why it’s always a bad idea to close ur eyes during prayers…..
