Prepare for WAR...NLC warns Governors

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, on Sunday warned state governors against reneging on the N18,000 national minimum wage if it does not want the organised labour to mobilize against them.

The NLC, which revealed its intention to send a proposal for the review of the minimum wage as contained in the agreement signed by former President Goodluck Jonathan, explained that the proposal was delayed because the NLC wanted to give the government time to settle down before coming up with the demand.

The congress noted that the nation has the ability to pay even above the existing wage.
